ABOUT ME / WHAT I DO
A UX/UI and visual designer from Portland, Oregon who loves to things for the internet. —
I’m a visual designer exploring and focusing on the world of User Experience and User Interface design.
Continuing my vast design education into exploring UX/UI and it’s concepts, I’ve successfully adapted and incorporated user based design into my work. I enjoy creating design systems that provide a seamless experience for the user and visitor (either within design tools or online,) this includes applying patterns and user research to a variety of different projects.
I thrive in collaborative teams/environments where learning is shared and celebrated. UX/UI is a natural way for me to express myself and my simplistic view of design. I cannot wait to see what I create next!
I’ve done quite a variety of things…

ABOUT / MY LOGO
The Process of Redeveloping My Logo + Brand
Early Logos
2001 → 2007
I started building out my brand by playing on the idea of a spinning atom or top. This was my first true logo and branding attempt post Bachelor’s degree. It was used for quite awhile as I began my search for design work. Looking back, it had a good beginning/bones that could be upgraded or enhanced to work better.
Early Logos
2007 → 2012
Gaining experience through gainful employment and personal projects, I wanted to upgrade my personal brand and logo. Embracing simplicity in design and paying attention to design trends, I wanted more tension in the spinning top. Thus introducing a container or box. It started to look more like a flower…
Early Logos
2012 → 2015
With a slight detour from the flower motif and idea, I further iterated and focused on the bubbles and lines. Though I kept the container/box, letting the bubbles break through it a little bit. It still maintains my beloved edge tension too.
2015 → 2024
After a couple years of dutiful service, my logo needed another update. For this rebrand, I was seeking more stable design work, so it was important to create something that represented me well. Keeping the box, and abandoning the spinning top, I returned to iterating on the flower motif. This time around I also paired the flower with my initials.
2024 → PRESENT
My latest iteration of my logo and branding, I wanted to pay homage to my previous experience as a print designer. This singular “printing” florette uses a series of dots to make up a flower like structure. I was also inspired by halftone and duotone that is also used frequently in the printing process. This was also a logical evolution, collaboration, and iteration of my old logos into something exciting and new.
And I have a lot of fun.
I am very inspired to create by my surroundings and things I find enjoyable. I’m an avid dragonboater where you can find me at dragon boat festivals up and down the West Coast. I quite enjoy cross-stitching and crafting. I also discovered the zen of running. I am currently training for my first half marathon and eventually running Hood to Coast (hopefully in 2026.)
My husband and I own our own home in Portland and we enjoy the company of our three cats; Winston Zeddemore, the Sloar, and Dr. Peter Venkman. Winston is snuggly and loves hugs, the Sloar is persnickety and opinionated, and Dr. Pete is still a kitten and he is a menace. We love all our cats and we especially miss our tuxedo kitty, Vinz Clortho.
After purchasing my current car, I’ve been listening to techno quite a bit while driving around town. My 2020 VW Jetta inspires me to enjoy the ride. Techno is definitely my preferred genre of music and usually a fantastic companion to work.
Here’s a peek at what I am listening to while on a run, going for a drive, or working on a website. Have a listen…
